File too big for email? Try YouSendIt

http://www.yousendit.com/

A few days ago, I couldn’t submit my assignment which is 6MB through the usual AssignIT; a website where we are supposed to submit to. Email didn’t work too. I thought I was going to fail, until God sent me an angel! My colleague told me about this website that is able to submit any files up to 100MB! If you are thinking, ‘Duh. I already know.’ Well, fine. Then this is for those who have yet to know.

What can it do?
YouSendIt is a free service (file under 100MB) which allows people to send, receive and track digital files on-demand and is quite simple to use. It is accessible right from the homepage and do not need to register to send a file under 20 MB. It is able to send PowerPoint presentations, Photoshop files, mp3’s and more. YouSendIt’s file tracking and notification services ensure secure, reliable file delivery.

Hot Web
YouSendIt has over five million unique visitors per month. It has proven to be an irreplaceable tool for business users, bloggers, and the social networking crowd.

"...one of the most useful apps I've seen on the web in a long time." - BBC World - Webscape (TV broadcast)

Personally, if you ask me if it’s good, I’ll say yes! Moreover, it saved my life.

Introduction

Blogging idiot
Hi everyone! Alright I got to be honest; I was born during the dinosaurs' era… a blogging idiot. Frankly, when blogs became a hit, a close friend of mine told me that blogging is evil. Believe it or not, I have never blogged in my entire life, nor did I ever read any blogs, except for that one blog that was circulating around in my workplace. The blog was from a female colleague in the same building, who had just died of overworking.

Why am I blogging now?
A task was given to my class from my lecturer to individually create an informative weblog, discussing blogging, issues affecting media and electronic publishing, and design considerations for publishing online.

So here I am!!
